What adhesive to adhere vapor barrier to inside of door?

I'm doing some internal door work and will need to replace my vapor barrier. I've bought a new one from PP but don't know what adhesive to use to attach it. Anyone done this before?

I just put them in my 1980 SC when I upgraded my speakers. I don't know if I used the correct stuff or not. I used 3M spray adhesive. It's holds well but you can peel the vapor barrier off if you need to.

I just re-upholstered my door panels and replaced the vapor barrier as well, I also used the 3M spray adhesive and it worked fine. Allows for some re-positioning if needed and held the barrier nicely.

I use a caulking that goes by brand name such as Accustik, or Accustiseal.

It is the same stuff that building supply places (maybe home depot) sell for sealing vapour barriers inside walls.

It comes in black or silver and remains soft.

Run a bead along the surface of the metal, then press the plastic vapour barrier along the bead.

butyl rope is what is commonly used due the ability to stick very well yet still be removed later down the road. unfortunately the same can't be said for the 3m spray.

Darn it! I have some of that and never thought to use it. I don't anticipate removing the panels any time soon - I hope.

Something like this? Dicor BT18341 1/8" x 3/4" x 40' Butyl Tape : Amazon.com : Automotive

So just to be clear - that stuff is tacky enough to hold the vapor barrier in place? I suppose it gets help from the door panel itself.

that looks like it will work, only thing that concerns me is that it is only 1/8" thick, but then again it will only be holding up a thin plastic sheet.
