Brunosan,
It sounds like you are falling in love with a 32 yr old honey.... My P car carrer began with a 1969 T targa that I bought in Los Altos from the original owner in 1983. Probably replaced and/or upgraded every part imaginable before parting company 2 yrs ago... still miss her some days.

I think top dollar for a 1969 - 1971 T Coupe is around $12,000 currently, unless we get into "time capsule" show cars and the like. Keith Martin's book also says they are appreciating at about 5% per year currrently, so that's good news.

Is this a pneumatic suspension car? Probably was at one time, hopefully has actua;l torsion bars and shocks up front now..You did not say about the color, it's a repaint right? no sunroof? Does it have front & rear sway bars? Original baakes were solid rotor all around, it's easy to swap out front for vented rotors & M calipers, available used most likely. Also add a Cd ignition if one is not already there.

Just be careful not to get too far out of this range in your costs, without understanding that all will not necessarily apply directly to the resale value.
Good luck, the early narrow body, long wheelbase models are great cars!!
