Steering Wheel Rehab
I bought a Jackie Stewart date-correct MoMo for my 82 SC. It had a little too much patina.
![]() So I did a little research. I used 1000 grit paper to smooth out the leather, then finished with 2000 grit. A little leather dye, some 3000 grit, some leather, some 3000 grit, some leather dye and voila. ![]() ![]()

Looks great. You must feel good about that.

Thank you. I'm pretty happy with. Only paid $50 for the wheel.

You might start with 400 grit, probably go a little faster at first. I got my dye from LeatherWorld Technologies. You might also try spraying it on instead of sponging - no brush marks.
