torque values for calipers?
 
i know i saw this before, but cant seem to find them. does any one know what the torque is for the 4 ribe bolts that holds the 2 halves of the calipers? the car is a 73 911e with steel m calipers, ate. thanks

When in doubt.... consult a standard thread chart.
Just google .... metric fastener torque chart

also The Machinst Handbook and Machinery's Handbook
are good tools to keep on your shelf.

Fronts: 24.5lbft.
Rears: 17lbft.

Torque as follows:

Number the fasteners 1-2-3-4 L to R. Only use a Ribe bit to hold the head not to turn or torque.

Fronts:
First Pass 10lbft in the following order 2-3-1-4
Second Pass 24.5 (25lbft) in the following order 2-3-1-4

Rears:
First Pass 7lbft in the following order 2-3-1-4
Second Pass 17lbft in the following order 2-3-1-4
