1984 3.2 build dates

Does anyone have or has anyone seen a 3.2 with a factory build date stamp/sticker in 1983. Thanks for any input.

Should be fairly normal. Not sure of the start 1984 production but guessing as early August 1983? A few early 84 have the under mount driving lamps (not integrated) like the SC.

Really, I have not seen a 3.2 with them. I will look out.

As I research the 1984 it truly seems to be a model on its own between the end of the SC's and beginning of the Carerras. Truly the best of both worlds. The lightness of a SC with the power/brakes of a 3.2.

Mine is a row model delivered into Australia vin number ending 0527 which makes it very early build production. Built September 1983 delivered into Australia on December 6 1983. I agree best of both worlds

How can one definitively prove the build date on a 1984? Do they all stickers on the drivers door jamb? I have seen some that don't. Can it be proved via the VIN number?

It seems like a lot of the tours in Europe now have an 1983 or earlier build date cut off to entry so it would be great to get a 3.2 in.

My VIN ends in 00770.

heres a photo of my australian compliance plate fitted to the car when imported to signify compliance with australian design rules and build plate. The build plate is probably fitted in oz as well from factory import records. These are fitted in my trunk to the right of the brake booster.

My vin is 00527 as I said from my perusal of factory records for production numbers one of the very early 84 ROW models. I dont have the sticker as above and am not sure if they are fitted to oz vehicles but it may have been removed with painting by the PO.

my 84 carrera has a build date of 10/83 per the sticker on the driver's side door jamb. this is pretty standard stuff, since most new models are released in the fall.

Mine doesn't have the sticker either but them again its a German ROW model. I will look over the car to see if there are any other stickers or chassis plates.

I know of a Cab that had a build date of 3/83 (was totaled). It was basically an
'83 m.y. body with the 3.2 engine and other '84 differences added on(pad warning, brakes etc.). The car the OXS light on the dash and counter box behind the speedo('80 to '83). I'll look over the next few days to see if I can find the VIN (I think that it was 066). The engine from it is in my '74. I'll post the engine SN later.

Finaly found my date. Its a September 1983 build. I am very happy about this as it means my car is eligilble for some of the historic tours and rallies which have a 1984 cut off date.

Another reason why the 1984 is the best of the impact bumper cars after the 74 Euro
