1975 Carrera Tail Rubber Replacement Options

So the tail rubber on my 75 is pretty knackered and I'm not finding a replacement anywhere which is a real bummer as they are quite different then the later whaletails.

Any thoughts on a replacement?

Well, you can buy a used one in better condition. Yeah it will be expensive or you can mount the rubber lip from a newer Carrera (not the whale tail Turbo lip but the Carrera) mounting holes will work on these as well...

There was one of these Carrera lips for sale in classified ads a while ago...

I have 3 of these older Turbo/Carrera 3.0 tails.
I sold off the best rubber lip to another Pelican as he needed one in very good condition. Now i have 3 tails with 2 rubber lips! I'm practically giving away the tail that doesn't have a lip, but cant seem to find buyer as these correct rubber lips are hard to find and expensive...

So you might find a good used one if you post a WTB ad in classified forum.

Good luck!

Yeah, I suppose a used one is an option. As for new ones, any idea which part numbers will fit?

I don't think you can buy the lip from Porsche, I believe it went NLA a few years ago.
Here's the Porsche part #911.512.019.00/01

Good luck with your search!
