Check this out. First time i have seen this set up. Addco used to make sway bar kits for everything ever made. This has to one of their "systems"

Great arresting hook, eh?

to "improve" it
We do have our choice of pretty nice hardware to choose from today

Dave, that's one of the first things I did to my 914 in 1972. I reinforced the loop mounts from inside the trunk with 1/4" plates and bought their 'competition' kit with springs of varying tension that fill in the void in the drop links. If anyone wants to augment their collection of vintage ADDCO parts - let me know. I think I later went to solid links. At the time they were the only game in town.

Years ago I bought addco bars for my 72 capri, and like stated they were pretty much it at the time. But, they did work.

Hah! I put Addco bars on my '74 Capri. I could never get rid of the clunk when I hit a bump. That was a LONG time ago. Kinda went with the quad-outlet Ansa exhaust.

That setup does look kinda shakey.

Looks familiar. I installed a set of Addco bars on a '73 Duster (!). They had bars for pretty much any car that were cheap if not elegant.
