Velvet Red Metallic...what does it look like?

I'm considering another long distance P-car opportunity (just can't get enough grief I guess). It's Velvet Red Metallic. Is anyone familiar with this color. My fear is that it is pink. My hope is that it is not pink. Can someone describe it, or better yet, post a pic?

Many thanks. Going through the dreaded and serious Porsche Withdrawal Syndrome (PWS).

Thanks. On my monitor it looks like a rusty shade of red, a bit darker than Guards red. Does this sound right? I like how it looks (at least on my cheap monitor) .

Thanks,

Mike,
Lets make sure a drunk/boisterous used car dealer doesn't have this one...

That looks like a great color. Where this one located?

On my monitor the above photo looks nothing like velvet red metallic.

It's one of those love it or hate it colours. Think of some old, faded, dusty, dark red velvet curtains.

Personally I think it's great with a cream leather interior, when spotlessly clean on a hot sunny day. Awful when dirty on a misty winter day.

Treatment for PWS:

Spend countlesss hours on Pelican BBS searching the archives and regularly viewing the "Best Photo" thread. Follow with national search on Autotrader.com and Ebay. Conclude with a few cold ones to enhance the experience.
