Portable Lift
I have been thinking of installing a 2 post lift. I have the height, but hate to give up floor space to permanency! I do have other than Porsche cars to work on so a midrise won't really suit all my needs, Eagle has this portable lift on sale, does anyone have any experience or input?

Hi lyonsfin
No experience with that lift. However, there have been post about one similar to it. The Dannmar Max Jax, Costco sells it. It might be worth a look. Good luck. |

That looks like a knock off of the MJ. I have the MJ and LOVE it. Very easy to set up and I only move 1 post around so that I have full floor space. The other post against the wall isn't in the way. I'm sorry I waited so long to buy it!!

Here is a Max Jax...I hired out the drilling of the holes. They used epoxy to make sure they don't come out. Here are photos of the two ( safe and sitting on steel pins that are provided) height positions the system has.. I also had a friend fab two engine supports just to feel safer when under the car. Down side to the system is the height it raises the car. You have to roll around on a stool to work. It's not bad but it can crank on your neck if you don't have the right height stool.
