limited slip questions

we have a 72 sportomatic 915 that i think has lsd. i think it has lsd as both axles spin as described (both spin in the forward direction when one side is turned in that direction).
Can the lsd be put into a 72 or 75 non lsd 915? If so can a home mechanic do it with special tools or expertise?

72 sportomatic should be a type 905. That won't work in a type 915. It will work in a type 901. Man, a spatomatic with LSD,that has to be rare as rocking horse manure.
