Flag mirror disassembly ?
 

From other posts it sounds like others have had loose mirror glass. I know how to get the entire flag mirror assembly off the car, but is there a way to remove the glass w/out taking the entire unit off the car? I'm thinking something needs to be tightened and I hope I can do it without taking the the whole thing off.

The glass should pull straight off. There are three metal plugs that hold it into the motor body.
The later flag mirrors ('87+ ?) have a ring that screws on to the back of the mirror glass, which is accessed from the hole in the bottom of the mirror.
