Adjust image size.

Go to Image Resize and set for 640 x 480. Also set quality to low quality. This reduces the mpeg size considerably. The image shows up small on your screen but larger when you upload.

Are you talking about mpeg's (motion video) or jpeg's (still pics)? Big diff. If the size limit on this board's upload function is still 50-100KB, the odd's that you'd be able to get any mpeg under that limit (and still be watchable) are slim to none. You can however host them on your own server/website ISP somewhere and post a link to them. If you have Porsche-related videos to host, I'd be glad to put them on my server.

If you're referring to still images (jpg), then download one of the many shareware photo retouching programs (Graphic Converter is one). Use the controls to change resolution to 72 dpi and image size to about 500 pixels wide. That should bring the file size down to about 50k.

Hope this helps,

There is an unofficial mpeg/qt site on my server. You can ftp them using the following info:

server: bender.annenberg.edu
user: pelican
passwd: 911rules

Put them in the pelican directory. You can also create your own directory within there (like Jack has done) and organize them that way.

To view, point your browser at:

http://bender.annenberg.edu/pelican/

size doesn't matter...I got gigs and gigs. If people are interested enough, I can set up a proper streaming server too.

Nostatic,
Thats cool. It would be great to see moving pictures of all the Pelicanites! (As long as they're not too big for us 56K modem users;) )
