Muffler Loan Program

Here we go... Too many Pelicans end up buying a muffler that later end up in the classified section.

Not really...

My backdated was a SSIs with a MK 2in/2out. I love it and everybody behind me at the Porsche Monthly Coffee Run love it. My better half (and co-pilot at time) was not that thrilled :(:(:(

So,I got lucky coming across a never installed Dansk Sport PP for sale post at half price and got it. Pretty well the same without the drowning which I miss, keep in mind that my top is always down so I don't know was is the effect in a closed cabin.

Bty, the MK is not for sale because one day... ;):D;)

So my M&K is available to local Pelican or PCA member for trial. If you can drive to my place, you're local.

What a great idea! Anybody who can take advantage of this will save some time and money.

Geronimo '74 02-23-2013 05:23 AM

I agree, great idea!
And to keep everybody honest, a security deposit of some sort...

ivangene 02-23-2013 07:06 AM

This would have saved me at least 2 muffler purchases :p

timmy2 02-23-2013 07:32 AM

I have an almost new 2 in 1 out Sebring with 1000 miles on it available.
Nice to put on your SSI's until you can afford something else.. :)

Also have a 1 in 1 out Bursch I'm not using. Along with thick flange HE's, crossover pipe and a "fake" cat. Basically an entire exhaust system with all new gaskets. My Kid even sandblasted the HE's and crossover. Looks good.

Both for loan or sale if you want them.

If you're near Salem, OR send me a PM. ;)

Geronimo

If you show up at my door, I'll wave the deposit :)

We do a test fit for anyone who brings their car to the shop. If you like it you pay me, if you don't I put your old muffler back on.

Maybe cats for those that need to stop testing their by-passes to get smogged?

Doesn't everybody keep the factory exhaust in the back of the garage for an 'every other year' swap out?
(Just to keep the exhaust nuts from seizing too much!)

No! Because some of us are earth friendly and recycled the steel so it could be made into something useful like an AR-15 ;)
No emission tests on 'collector' cars in Az.

suprxman 02-24-2013 10:14 AM

recycle

Good idea Reiver. Maybe this will allow more to be made.
Thank you.

I stand corrected and embarrassed by my unconscionable slight against mother earth. Besides how could you get a truly top quality AR unless you fed it some quality german steel? !!!

Hello JJ,

This is a great idea . Interested and I am in Saint-Sauveur.
Got a BB 2in 2out mounted on Brian (RarlyL8) 1 5-8 headers and would like
to try another muffler this spring.
I will be in touch.

Regards

Hi JJ,

This is a GREAT idea. The muffler I have now is good but my wife doesn't like it. To Loud.... Go figure. Anyways, I'd love to try a different muffler and see what it does for the car.
I am running SSi's and want to keep the 1 out look.

Can't wait to get the car out on the road again....
All this snow is driving me nuts.

I have a Bursch 2 in 1 out - kind of needs a repaint, and a Dansk 2 in 1 out stainless that I would loan to buy to anyone that wants to come by in Austin. Can be installed easily here, if desired. Small deposit would be likely...:p

Pas de problèmes.

Its a ride and half but we can put your car on the lift, do the switcheroo and you can try it for the day or the ride back or as long as you wish.

So if you leave at 4AM , you'll be here for breakfast :D

Salut

JJ

If you want to try it, bring your wife and we'll do a double switcheroo before lunch :D:):D
