Key cutting

Can anyone tell me........

I bought a OEM Porsche blank key from PP.

After some months I've finally decided to get it cut but....looking at the faces (not edges) the profile is different than my original key.

Before I do battle with the locksmith, can anyone tell me whether these keys are suitable for all models of Porsche.

Mine in particular is a 1987 911 Carrera Cab ROW.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers
Mark

Don't worry Dickster but thanks.

I went and got it cut with no problems although it looks different to the original on the face of the key. Obviously the lock is not specific to this part of the key.

Once again thanks for your time.

One is a valet key, and one is a regular key. They may look slightly different depending upon which is which...

Thanks Wayne,

I've only got one key that does all locks (no valet). This is the one I copied and the copy seems to work fine although much more precise (tighter!?).

Cheers
