Where to mount front seatbelt inertia?

Hi. I'm looking for photos of where members have mounted an inertia style (retractable) front seat belt in their early Porsches, I have a 1970 911Targa and would like some idea on where to mount them. Thanks.....

I'm interested too. Anybody done this? If so, please share the info.

Gents,

Here's a picture of my 70 targa. You should find recesses and bolt holes awaiting you behind your rear side panels. I'm not sure when it began, but from 1970 at least the cars were made ready to accept these.

Good luck,

front seatbelt mounting

Hi Mike, thanks for the info. I took the panel off, and there you go, a recess for the inertia and a threaded hole for the bolt! Next question? Does the inertia go on the face of the panel or behind it? If it goes on the face will the panel not deform, and if it goes behind it won't go back on? I'm guessing some alterations to the panel will need to be made? Thanks Mike.......

The reel goes under the panel and the belt exits from behind the panel via a slot to the guide on the B pillar.

Like Harry said. There's a plastic sleeve/insert that you might need to get for a conversion. Here's a pic:
