Looking for GOOD Porsche mechanic in Houston area
Double posting this, as the general 911 crowd might be more attuned/responsive ...
Looking for a good mechanic in the Houston area who, in particular, might know suspension and alignment when putting turbo struts on a 1999 996 C4. Am a bit suspicious of the car salesman approach by the shop I'm using, as the car just isn't handling right. Thanks for any suggestions, or even recommendations where not to go. |

I am going to rennsport in Sealy (just west of Houston) today for and alignment and corner balance. He, Mike Callas has a great reputation with Porsches. We will see.

I don't think you could go wrong by taking it to rennsport in Sealy. Its a two man operation and that insures you will only have the most experienced working on your car. It also could be a slower turn around time..
My corner balance and alignment were done with precision and a mystery clunk in the suspension was diagnosed and fixed. Mr Callas and Warren may not seem like the friendliest guys at first but by the end of the 3 hours I spent at the shop, they had given me a tour of the facilities and were super to work with. They had some rare and valuable vehicles that have been entrusted to them to maintain and improve and cant imagine a better place to take your car in Houston. Thumbs up.
