Headliner without a zipper...

So my sunroof decided to stop working the other day...I removed the sunroof panel and found the cables and brackets to still be intact, when flipping the switch I can hear what I would expect the motor to be running.

What I didn't realize until this problem occurred was that my headliner does not have a zipper to access the motor and I'm assuming there's an issue with the sunroof transmission or rubber clutch piece. I don't see any other way to fix the problem or manually crank the sunroof closed.

Any suggestions on cleanest way to access the motor or other ideas to get my sunroof closed?
