It's great that you got it off but that looks like a horrendous was to do it.

Good luck with the build.

Weight is cheap...the old Hot Rod maxim is that 100 lbs equals 10 HP. That is about right too.
I've my '83 SC at 2400 lbs I/2 tank of gas and have the stock bumpers minus the huge rubber blocks. You can do much better with glass bumpers.
I've a rebuilt 930-10 euro that in stock form is 204 HP (originally had the 930-16)...I've removed the stock exhaust and have SSI's and a dansk 2 in 1 out so a few more ponies there too.
The lightening and improved HP/torgue re invents the car.
p.s......lose your fat friends too

And ladies. Rule in the vw world is "no fatties."

I have a question - why do you write your posts in long, run on sentences that use almost no punctuation and zero capitalization? This style of yours is extremely difficult to read!

No offense here. In fact I was once called out on the bird about my punctuation. Guy ended up being a proof reader which I thought was kind of funny. I had often
joked about the spell-checker here being not so great.

Keep working on your project. Looks good.
