4300 RPM Stumble?
My car has developed a miss between 4200 RPM and 4400 RPM. Any gear, any road speed. It's very consistent at that narrow 200 RPM rev range. I'd like to go about diagnosing this logically. My first thought was electrical/ignition rather than a fuel/carb problem. Any thoughts/tips? Thanks. -- Curt

I know nothing about your early cars, Curt (other than they rust away at the very thought of moisture).
![]() But I did have a Alfa Romeo coupe with Webers (side draft, of course) that had a similar problem. After adjusting the float levels precisely, the problem went away. But then, eventually, so did the Alfa.

You could be right, but I sure wouldn't have guessed float levels! -- Curt
