Hi I found a set of these, and I'm not sure what year they're off of. The guy selling them doesn't know either, he said it's for 911 or 914.
Thanks! --Axe ![]() |

definately not 914 swingarms, I can't tell which year 911/912/930 they came off of. We will probably need overall length measurements to compare them.

Sorry the description says: "911 aluminum control swing arm". I have a 75 911 with the steel ones so I thought it might be a good upgrade if they fit.
Thanks! --Axeman |

My guess is that they'll fit, but I think I read something about the sway bar hook-up needing to be changed? Don't toss your old steel units, somebody will want them...

don't quote me but if they are aluminum they are most likely SC swing arms...
they fit to earlier cars no problem if they are aluminum 930 arms then they do need to modify the chassis to fit SC are worth a decent amount...I think about 200 each...but remember the bearings will prob need to be changed 930 are much more expensive...just cuz they are rare and they allow for more camber change...I would say 600-900 is the market value... |

Then I guess $200-300 for the pair is a pretty good deal right?
Thanks for all the quick responses! |

Lots of early car owners have upgraded to the aluminum "banana" arms, so it should be a straight forward swap. However, just a word of caution: The arm in the picture appears to be painted. This can sometimes be done to hide cracks, or signs of repair, and/or cheap re-weld jobs. Also, I have seen sets in good shape sell for $300 to $500 (for the pair).

I've always read the aluminum arms started in '74, you sure you don't have these already?

You need to get a few measurements.
Alum arms first appeared in '74 cars. 930/911 turbo alum arms will fit 930's or much modified 911's. Not you average saturday project. Alum arms would only retro '69-'73 without body modifications. I believe that early (<'69 cars) with short wheel base may be different. Good luck, David Duffield |

Those are '74 thru '77 911 control arms and are configured for the 'old' anti-roll bars that use the nylon socket attachment to a steel ball stud!
