The original filter is no longer available. There are a few threads on how some have adapted the replacement filter to fit, since the original mounting will not work with the newer filter.

thx sully...I guess that is why the filter in a car i am working on is just dangleing below the fuel accumulator rubbing in the chassis frame rail & it is not right...
**Do you or anyone have pics of what has been done to deal with nla fuel filters for these cars...??

I just did this on my '74. Your best bet is to source the bracket and "bent Pipe" that replaced the bracket and filter used on '73 and early '74 CIS systems. Suggest you put in a WTB in the classifieds for the bracket and pipe.

This is what the replacement filter looks like with the replacement bracket:

My 73.5. The filter is stamped "NAPA", but no number visible. Good luck.

here is what I am dealing with...maybe an "S" shaped metal fuel pipe to connect the accum to filter will solve my situation but where to mount the filter...?

Looks like your accumulator and filter are flipped. Here is the bracket and pipe. I sold the bracket, but I still have the pipe if you need it.

Agree with Mark, someone has flipped your accumulator and filter in order to replace the NLA original filter. The bent pipe with bracket as shown in the pics is the way to go...

The fuel filter is available from Pelican. Fuel Filter (Bosch 0 450 905 003), 911 (1974-76)

Hard to tell from the picture but the bracket in your car appears to be for the NLA filter and will not work with the bent pipe. The bracket pictured in MReids pic bends at close to 90 degrees. Mark's picture needs to be turned 90 clockwise for the correct orientation. The fuel accumulator sits straight up.

To use the bent pipe line with the above fuel filter you will need to source the later bracket as shown in Mark's picture.

That is the original bracket for the NLA filter. On the later updated bracket the accumulator and filter are angled at closer to 90 degrees per MReid's picture. If you compare the bracket in your pic to the update bracket you will see a noticeable difference in the angle.

Although you can't see the actual size of the bracket you should be able to feel the edge of it right behind the CD unit. Those 3 bolts/screws you see attach the bracket to the fender well.

ok guys...new info from the local dealer...IF I try to order the original filter, p/n 901 110 232 00, I am told to buythe following:
1. filter PCG 110 909 10...for 70 bucks...
2. bracket PCG 110 232 00...for 500 bucks...ouch
***Does anyone have a picture of this bracket & filter...?
I asked the dealer what about the fuel accum and he said no info so it must not be affected...maybe this new filter bracket attaches to the oe bracket...?
Any & all help is greatly appreciated here...thx again...Bob

You're making this way to difficult. What you need is the bracket and bent pipe exactly as shown in MReids picture and this filter: Fuel Filter (Bosch 0 450 905 003), 911 (1974-76). MReid already has the bent pipe you need. Post a WTB add in the Pelican classifieds for the update bracket. You already have an accumulator. Once you have the bent pipe, update bracket and filter, you are ready to install and go.

You should be able to get all this for under $100...
