New Oil Leak 2 me

I noticed a couple of quarter sized drops since last driving Sunday. The picture makes it look very wet, but I think it is making the dried on grime glisten. It is totally dry under there. I put an arrow to show on the passenger side going past the oil return tube towards the front of the car where I put my finger and got a smaller than a dime size amount of oil on my finger tip. After wiping it, no more showed up. Any ideas (in the engine compartment, everything looks dry).

I'm wondering if you have a leak/weep coming from the area discussed in the following thread (porous area of case fixed with JB Weld - old factory bulletin on it)? It looks like it could be possible based upon your pic.

Yeah it could be the spot. JB weld is the repair?? That seems sort of odd. I will get in there on the weekend and try and scrub it real clean and see if that is the spot.

So the oil "weeps" through the case? Though no actual hole?

There is a passage bored there and it has shown to be a "thin spot" in the case material (not a "hole" as such). JB Weld, or similar epoxy, works great there, and has been used by many, but some people also put silicone/RVT there as well . . . I belive that the Porsche bulliten simply said "apply sealer" (did not specify what kind) but I can't seem to find it at the moment.
