Webers Acting Strange a little Help please

I am out tuning my new 2.2E spec motor and while standing at the eging reving it up I noticed that on the left bank of carbs when I rev it I can see a little misty feul just inside and around the top of the carb while the other bank is not doing this. I checked flow with synchrometer and all seem pretty even and all jets are the same. Could this be that I have the cam timing a little off? Or is this a float issue. Any ideas?? thanks

Sounds like you are describing main circuits that are coming in too early on one bank. This would be caused by too high a float level, or poorly sealing needle/seats. Fuel pressure could also be too high, and the needle/seats in one bank is doing a better job of holding this excess pressure.

Bottom line: check float levels with the car running.

thanks tyson, I am doing a search about setting the float level and will tackle it tomorrow.

Dean,

Another thing that can cause this is the acc pumps. Take the air filter off and look down the throats with the motor off.

Actuate the throttle and watch to see the squirt of fuel down all three throats. Repeat on the other bank and see if you see the same thing.

Have had a diaphram on the acc pump go bad and lose this on one or two barrels. Noticed that I did not have the mist on one side and that was the problem...
