Sources for pre-owned 911's
I'm in the market for a G-50 coupe (87-89) and was wondering if anyone could post any good sources. I have looked in Autotrader, Ebay, Rennlist, The Atlanta Journal/Constitution and the regional PCA classifieds and haven't found much after 3 months now of searching. I've seen a few but they're over 600 miles away and trying to buy something that far away is just intimidating to me. Any other sources you guys can come up with would be appreciated.
Also, I'm not a big fan of spoilers but there seems to be so few 911's without them I wonder if I'm being unrealistic in wanting one spoiler-free? Clay (Tired of imagining a 911 in my driveway)

I'm in the same boat. I also live in Atlanta and have been searching for a G-50 Targa without much success. I've been using the same resources as you have. I'd prefer a car with spoilers and, of course, everything that I find is without.....Murphy's law I guess. If you come across any nice Targa's in your search, let me know. I'll keep an eye open for coupes on your behalf. Good luck finding a keeper,

I ran across an ad in the Alabama PCA classifieds. It's from late May so it may be sold but it sure sounds good: 87 911 Targa, Slate Blue, Grey Leather interior, 79,000 miles, new tires, CD, excellent driving car. $20,500, phone 256-340-9899 email charlesy@hiwaay.net [5/22/00] Thanks for keeping an eye out for me. Thanks! I e-mailed him a few weeks ago. It turns out the ad is from may of 2000! The car has been sold for almost 2 years. I didn't notice that either. It's just an indication of how few and far between good cars are these days. Actually, it looks like I may have a deal on an 89 Targa in Louisiana. It's black/tan with 68k miles. PPI checked out.
