Requesting Pics of your 245/50/16's on 16 X 9

I think I'll get something that's NOT the RE 11, and I think the 50 series won't be too much taller, but would like to see your pics if any available. These will be going on 16 X 9 Euromeisters onto my 78 SC. thanks. I know speedo error, etc, all that, too.

245/50s are roughly .5 inches taller then 245/45s and look like ballon tires.

I have 245/50R16s on my 16x9 Fuchs, and they look and run fine. NOW, having said that, not all tire makers do it the same. Go look at diameters on the Tire Rack website and you'll see that not all 245/50R16s have the same diameter. Strange, right?

And no, they don't look like balloon tires on these cars. You need side-by-side pics to tell the difference.

@Banda do you have a spacer back on the rear wheels? My rear's are no where near the fender lip like yours.

If his car is 69 those rear flares are welded/bonded and fitment is not necessarily as 80's factory car. For my 87 I can fit 7mm specer with 9x16 and still easily fit 245/45 so I've been thinking 245/50 for street too as 45 availability is really limited.

Yes my silver car above is a 1969 chassis and I am not running spacers but it is a very close fit on both the inside and out but it works.........

245/50 16s on 9 inch rims.

I am not sure about the backspacing on these BBS 9 inch wheels, but the 234s just clear the SC/Carrera flairs on my 74. I'm glad they are not 255s though.

For comparison here is a 245 on a 15x8, rather than a 16.
(I just realized the I have forgotten the aspect ratio, maybe a 50?)

(big whopping spacers)
