...calling Clint Smith @ Rebel S Racing prods & no reply
anyone know where Clint is...?? I have left several messages over the past week & sent emails & now his voice mailbox is full...
I hope he is ok... any info would be greatly appreciated...thx, Bob |
Nothing new.

Often repeated thread! I even started one here myself last fall. In the end, be patient, good guy with great products...
|
Call or email the other names on their site.

Just had a terrific experience with Rebel - they raised my spindles and I also bought their bump steer kit. I didn't reach Clint the very first time I called, but he emailed me back the same day. And from there forward, he did absolutely everything he promised, when he promised. Super satisfied, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. I will be buying more of his products in the future.

thx for all of the positive replys guys...maybe he went to Amelia island for what ever was the recent car deal/show...
...I just can't understand how some people will go a week or so w/o replying to a call a/o email into them...maybe its me... |
Contact "flieger" here at pelican. Works with Clint from time to time.
I also have a complete rear suspension redo from Clint - I told him no hurry because I still have to drop the engine/trans and remove the one. So it will show up in the next month or so. Clint supplied my front suspension. Well worth the wait, plus he gives you discounts on complete buys (unlike others) |
I have no doubts about Clints capabilities...I have had several discussions with him & he is a great guy...I was just concerned since no reply & am hoping all is ok with him...
I also pm'd Flieger to see if he knows where/how Clint is & no reply from him either... I will sit tight...I am actually glad to hear no one reply w/ bad info...I will knock on wood now... thx again guys... |
I have set of front wheels there and waiting for rear wheel halves to be finished. I too have called every day since the LA swap meet that he said he was attending. No phone, no e mail. It worries me that his phone, mail box is full so you can't leave anymore messages.
If anyone gets new info, please post. I need my wheels. |
Is there anyone on this forum that lives in Morro Bay? Maybe could tell me if Rebel Racing is still functioning? Its over a week of calls and e mails every day, with no response Anyone that can help?

I live close by...but there is nothing to see. I believe he just works out of his house and garage.

OMG your kidding. I thought I was dealing with a "real" staffed, store front business. I hope I am not going to loose the wheels I shipped him. I was expecting to have rear wheels matched to front wheels by now. I am really surprised, the website giives another impression.

I am sure you will receive your wheels back.
|
no reply to me yet either...ttt...
|
Get with these guys, they do a lot of work with Clint and can get you through to him or take care of your needs anyway

There's a lot of vendors that started with 1 or 2 guys in a garage. I believe the iPad I'm writing this on had similar humble beginnings. ;) |
Did you try all of these?

Still calling & e mailing. No communication, no wheels. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Not happy with the lack of concern for customers. But mostly want to move forward with building wheels before the driving season gets good.

Clint
I bought my 912 I POLOized from his dad Craig. They are both great guys. Clint makes several of the prducts out of someones machine shop. When that happens he kind of goes underground and really focuses on what he is producing. When he makes something for me I want him to focus. Oh and he and his dad both surf. When the swell is up they boat into the Ranch. If you surf you know what the RANCH is. I might not hear from him for 2 weeks. In time he gets in contact. You just have to be patient. Kind of like our wives when we are focused on our Porsche projects. Not the greatest customer service, but he does very good work.

I am sure he and his dad on a personal level are good guys. BUT as far as business I am really disappointed. I sent him 2 BBS/Fuchs wheels over a month ago. He was to build me a set for rear and anodize all to match. No phone calls are e mails to let me know what was going on. I receive my original wheels today without warning or explanation. I have been in touch with BBS USA and have a Euro contact to try to find the correct offset halves. Now I have to start all over with someone capable & willing to do this. There is NO excuse for not at least leaving a message or e mailing me to give me some options. Can anyone suggest another source to put Fuchs centers in 17" BBS halves?
