Turbo Tie Rods, Cambermeister & Bump Steer Question
My 1980 SC is in need of a few suspension upgrades: I plan to install Turbo Tie rods, Cambermeister and Weltmweister bump steer kit and then have the car aligned. Am I missing anything or should I consider anything else while doing this work? Thanks

There's a pretty massive list of things it could use if it's in need of suspension upgrades...
What problems are you trying to solve, if any? What are your goals? What is the condition of the suspension (i.e. could have 30+ year old rubber bushings, shocks, ball joints, etc....)

None of these things will make any real difference on a street car though the turbo tie rods are better than the stock ones. In your shoes I'd concentrate on replacing all the bushings with Neatrix or Elephant products. The bump steer kit (washers, not the sophisticated version) is useless on a street car unless you're lowered an inch or so.

Thanks for the responses, those are very fair questions. My goal is to prep the SC for an occasional DE. The car is lowered, the tie rods are original and I assume the bushings are original as well. New bushings make a lot of sense. Thx

Once you start getting into DE's you're going to want to change a whole lot more than just bushings, trust me ... lol

If your car is lowered the bump steer kit will make a big difference.
I drove mine lowered w/o a bump steer kit for many years, installed one last year and could not believe the difference in steering feel.
