Removing Inside rear view mirror
Have any of you been successful in removing the glued on inside rear view mirror, and then removing the residue of glue still on the windshield. If so, how do you do it?
Thanks for your help. Dale |
Razor blades and patience.

Try washing the inside of your windshield, thats how I manage to knock mine off of a couple of cars. Also adjusting the mirror is a good way to remove it from windshield.
Then a razor blade does well at getting the glue off. I'm sure others have different techniques to share. Cheers Richard |
Very careful. It is amazingly easy to break the windshield with a razor blade.

Never comes off when you want it to.....very easy to crack the windscreen.
Heat gun and a gentle tapping of each side on the metal button without the mirror attached. I would NOT use anything to pry it off.... You CAN use a razor blade to remove the residue.....after the button is off. |
