pre 73 to post 73 change for yellow bird kit.

I have located another 73 tub and thought about doing the yellow bird bumpers, can this front bumber be mounted without changing the nose of the tub to a post 73? I will be using a fiberglass hood with hood pins so Im not concerned about the hood latch. Has anyone done this conversion without all the cutting????
