I have seen where Yellow Freight had a contract with one engine shop...so try them?

Yellow Freight handles shipping engines for Motor Meister (no comments here please) and other equipment companies. Most of the larger carriers handle engines and machinery though. Be careful as you will need to bolt the engine down to the pallet well and then crate it up to protect it. Go to the home supply store and get some big eye bolts and run them into your pallet. Then use thick coathanger wire and tie the engine to the eye bolts so it won't come off the skid. Take pictures before you close up the crate and mark it on all sides and top that it's an engine and can not be top loaded. Also don't skimp on the insurance. It'll be expensive, several hundred dollars each way, unless you are using someone's account that will give you a discount.

forwardair.com is the cheapest I have used. But you have to pick it up at there hub. Make sure you have a trailer.
