Anyone else try it yet?
It's the brown wire in the photo above! The wires come out of the harness very close to the connector, where it actually attaches to the DME. Just move the driver's seat all the way back, lift up the carpet, and it's right there! Quick disconnect takes about 3 seconds to take apart!! |
Didn't have time last nite. Will give a try tonite.

Well Did Ya?

Sorry, I've been a lazy slug. It's been quite cold and dark here when I get home from work and I haven't been able to work up the gumption to go outside to the garage and start monkeying about under the seat. Hope to do so over the weekend though, if I have time after installing new Bilsteins all around. ;)

You will be weraing a large smile, after the installation of the new Bilstein's! Amazing difference if they are replacing the original equipment...
The brown wire disconnect takes about 20 seconds... Just move the driver's seat fully rearward, and lift up the carpet. It might help to have a small slotted screwdriver to assist in pulling the plastic disconnect apart. |
Well, I went and checked. Yes, you were right, it took 20 sec., but no joy because it's disconnected already. Oh well...

I finally checked mine as well. Found it disconnected and taped off, I guess i was enjoying this the whole time. I wonder if this has any difference to helping pass CA smog regulations?? I am due for a smog this upcoming year and curious.
