Anyone interested can join us for some fun and learning while we work over my 1989 3.2L! If you're in the area and would like to join us, please e-mail Jim at paddlerjim@aol.com. Hope to see you there.

Boy oh boy do I have vivid memories of that job. Make sure you have the right clutch alignment tool . . . its worth the 16 bucks.
Also remember to seperate the fuel injector harness (6 pin) that is mounted on the chassis behind the Intake manifold. You can not get to it unless the motor has dropped a bit, but too much and you will hear a cracking sound. You are in good hands with Joe. Let me know if I can help from long distance. |
When is the next one near Dallas, TX or does anyone need any help with a clutch replacement here?
I'd like to change my clutch in the next 6 months, but would like some practice first. |
Marcesq has vivid memories of that because we did it together about a month ago. It's a very doable and satisfying job. Call me (703) 298-1628 if you get snagged. Good luck, Striker - we're all counting on you.

I second that for Dallas. I'd love to see some real work done on a 911's innards. I have not done that much on my car b/c I did not want to get in over my head.
