'83 Fuel Pump Replacement - Bolt Misalignment
I am reassembling the car after fuel pump replacement and the bolt/screw that is affixed with an allen wrench /socket into the Auxilliary Support (I believe that is what its name is) is misaligned, off by about an 1/8th of an inch. See pic below
![]() ![]() To get it to go in the torsion bar would need to move forward by that 1/8"-3/16". Is this due to the car being on jacks? Last edited by GaryDG; 03-16-2013 at 01:51 PM.. |

I have found it is much easier to get those bolts to go in with the car on the ground on a flat surface rather than jacked up.
