Monty muffler installation
I just received my new M41 Monty 1 in 1 out muffler. (1987 carrera)
It is a different shape then the stock muffler it replaces...I would be interested to have some installation instructions and tips from an experienced pelican member. Thanks |

you may have to reshape the hanger bracket a bit so it lays on the muffler better. carreras need a muffler that has the recess for the heat pipe behind it, so hopefully you have the right muffler. other than that, it's a bolt-in.

The M41 model is designed for a 87-89 Carreras, I am told so by Monti... Is the bracket you are referring to the one used to attach the muffler with the straps? |

yes, the original muffler had a seam that rested in the bracket notches. the monty is smooth. it may be fine.
