Is it corner balanced...or what?

I spent the weekend doing a corner balance and alignment to my car. I started by correcting a long standing issue. I had the rear torsion bars wrongly indexed, so one side on the rear was almost 1 inch higher, and I was still not able to adjust ride height enough to get good corner balance figures.

I did the full alignment, using my brand new HUBSTANDS. They are a blast and make the job much easier. I still did not figure out how to attach the Smart Camber tool to the Hubstands, but other than that the job is much easier with these tools.

After reindexing the torsion bar, I started playing with the ride height until I got pretty good numbers...I think! These are with me on the drivers seat.

Here is a pic with the alignment setup. It took quite some time to setup the alignment strings and the Hubstands (both new to me), but once it was setup the job is really much easier than what I am used to.

Now, I need to find a way to get more camber in the rear. I was only able to get -2.5 degrees, and this is with the Camber Max device from Elephant Racing installed.

I can't wait for my next DE to test the results..including the performance of the engine with the new Intercooler installed ...I am sure you didn't miss that on the pic

Looks good! Did you put some weight in the drivers seat to simulate your weight in the car? Hubstands are great for car setup and a must for race shops.

Mario,

It's pretty hard to get more than -2.5 camber in the rear with stock components ... i managed to get-2.6 on both sides with the Cambermax although after 18 track days with Nitto NT01's the rear tire wear was excellent so i would think the rear camber is sufficient for now !

Front is a whole different story ...
Nice alignment setup, tell us more about the hubstands !!!

Cheers
Phil
