Help with a paint code mystery...

Hi All -
I am preparing to detail the wheel wells in my car (a 1977 911S). I figured it would be good to get some touch up paint. The paint code on my door jamb is 700-9-2 - which does not make sense. After a search on this site, that color comes up as black. My car is red (I thought guards/india), and it has always been red. It has been repainted, but the door jambs, wheel wells, engine compartment, etc etc etc are all wearing original paint. All of the original textures are there on every surface as are the original door jamb decals.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Could my car have a factory mistake on the door jamb plate?

Thanks -
Scott S

700-9-2 is indeed Glasurit Black. I suppose they could have made a mistake and in 77 things were not as anally managed as today. Is the sticker original or maybe someone mocked up a copy after a repaint, a pic of the sticker would help
