Dead 77 s

????? Last two weeks of daily driving, car became harder to start.
Then it would not idle/Tuesday it would not start at all/
Ordered tune up parts from our host. New plugs, cap, rotor and fuel filter.
tried to start the car after installing new parts. No luck. (not even popping)
I pulled one plug wire to check for spark. no spark.

I have stock ignition system.
How can I verify each piece without just throwing $$$$ at it?

thanks for any help.

Kenny

There are numerous threads on checking your ignition.

You need to verify each step for the ignition system is happening. If you do a good search, using terms like CDI no start spark you might even find this thread: Help! No +12V at coil

Update' I checked and no "buzz" at the Bosch three pin cdi.
I will check for power in tomorrow and follow all possible leads.
the strange thing was, the car was running progressively worse. Made it home
on Wed night, then it would not start at all next morning. At least it made it home.

thanks again for the advice and links.

OK. It was a dead Permatune blue box. I installed a MSD digital 6AL. Wired it wrong the 1st time. I put both the red hot lead to the starter (big cable from the battery) and the ground to the starter mount bolt (WRONG) Moved the ground to the coil mount and it works. YEAH.
Now on to other fun projects. I have my 101 projects book out and keep signing off
pages as I go.

thanks for all the input.
