PPI in around West Bloomfield MI

Found a 964 that I'd like to get inspected. Car is located outside of Detroit. Any recommendations on shops to do this?

Cheers,
Adrian

Munks in Waterford is a well known shop. Also check out RUF Auto in Southfield. Both are supporters of our PCA region.

+1 RUF Auto in Southfield. David Laing, (the mechanic) will do you right. Find his number listed under Grand Sport.

Wayne,

are you going to Munks "garage to garage" sale today?

I would not recommend Munk's... Too many bad experiences.

I like Jeff Jones at Automotive Techniques in Farmington Hills.

Jeff Jones at Automotive Techniques on Grand River in Novi.

Great shop.

Any recommendations on Gilson Motorsports?

I've had excellent experiences at Gilson Motorsports in Troy and Rennstatt Racing in Ann Arbor.

Howard is a great guy. Pretty sure you can go into the shop and poke around the car right alongside him, so you can get a rather customized inspection if you wish.

Tim Pott at ArborMotion is my favorite in that area. Shop is in Ann Arbor near I94

Rennstatt was Tim Pott's shop before he merged into ArborMotion, he may still use that name within ArborMotion

Yes to Ruf/GrandSport/David Lang.

Having owned VWs for 15 years, I'd rather eat a dogsh it sandwich than go to Munks.

++1 on Howard Gilson. He has a great shop, dedicated only to Porsches, and will take the time with you that you need/want.

+++1 for Howard. Friend of mine has his car in there now and he is sooo picky. Very fair on price and is very thorough.

In no particular order except the last one who shouldn't even be on the list. LOL
