Back to square one on seats... Need some advice
The shop that I was going to get to do seats for my SC went out of business so now I'm back to square one. I thought it might be a good time to re-evaluate and get some opinions on the type of seats, best options on where to find them and shops to do the work.
My original plan was to find a pair of vintage Recaro LS-B's and have them recovered/refurbished. First question - opinions on the LS-B's? Any other ideas? I'm not going for concours correctness but not trying to over modernize the car either. Second question - I've looked around on Craigslist and Fleabay without a lot of luck. Other than a WTB ad here, anyone know of a good source for vintage Recaros? Last question - Any ideas on quality shops experienced with Recaros? Ideally I'd like something in the Atlanta area but I'll ship if the place has a great reputation in the community. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer! |
Bump. Anyone?

This would be my suggestion.
Shipping is ofcourse an issue... Recaro, Scheel Seats for sale at Historika |
I am not sure what year your car is or what style Recaro you are looking for, but vintageseats.com has some nice stuff and is local (Alpharetta). I have the R version in my car and you are welcome to sit in it. The owner of vintage seats (Michaael) has several samples in stock and is always willing to let you sit in a few to see how you like them.

Farrell,
I will definitely check them out! Bonus points for local. :) I've got a black '83 SC. I'm at the end of a year long restoration project. Mostly the interior. Soon I'm going to be posting pics and cataloging everything I've done. :) Thanks for the tip! |

You might also try the VW and BMW crowd. They are also into 80-90s era Recaros.
