Exterior door handles

For a 71, are the left and right door handles interchangeable? I have a drivers side and need a passenger side.

For '71, they're different part # /L or /R (911.531.061.00 versus 911.531.062.00).

'72 up list a single part # for both (911.531.941.00).

On my '77, the handles themselves are identical and so is the trigger/pin assembly - but at least the actuating arm on the end of the lock cylinder is "handed" - e.g. different between the two, and quite possibly the lock cylinder itself (it *might* work either way round, can't really be sure).
