THIS COMING WEEKEND - Relay for Life Car Show - Picayune MS

It is time for the car show at my brother's house in Picayune Mississippi.

Wash and wax your cars and come on over. Past years have seen tons of Porsches, some Ferraris, other exotics and collectibles and some really cool military amphibians!

Who knows the car from the "Found 30 years later thread" might be there too! And Howard (who restored it will be there).

Please spread the word around your friends about the 6th Relay for Life Car Show and Porsche Fest be held Saturday March 23rd starting @ 10:00A.M.

We will have food and drinks , door prizes , t-shirts , and if all goes as planned , will be raffling a 4-wheeler again . As always , 100 % of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society . So far we have handed in over $52,000 !!! Please feel free to invite your friends .

Buy the TShirt too! (see pic below for design). ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE ACS!

Directions:

Take Hwy 59 North by Slidell along Interstate 10/12 towards Hattiesburg . Exit on Exit 10 , Carriere . Make a left and go about 500 yards and make a right into Lumpkin Rd. , you will see a BellSouth substation in that corner .
Follow Lumpkin Rd. to the 2nd road off to the right which is Burk Station .

Let's not forget that there will be 120+lbs of crawfish , jambalaya , fried catfish , bbq , and drinks to help us enjoy the Spring weather and endure the pollen !! Hope it does not rain but the event will be held either way . Please join us !

We get started by about 930 and run until the last one leaves , usually at about 3PM . Need not be present for raffles . Have 3 other SC Targa coming , u will feel in the family . The original name for the event was Classic Car Show and Porschefest but had to shorten it for the shirts . We park the Porsche in a separate area in keeping with that theme . Hope to see you there .

This area of Picayune / Carriere has been recently annexed by the city , SO , the Revenue Collectors armed with Light Activared Secondary Electromagnetic Radiation equipment are more than happy to show you their calligraphy , as you drive between mile markers 2 and 10 . North of marker 10 is St T only . SO ,

, this is the "cool-down " area .

Everything going as planned . The weather forecast calls for rain chances of 40% after 3 PM so we should be ok . Drinks iced down , crawfish pots ready , bbq trailer set up , door prizes here and more to come . Have silent auctions again . Another awesome year for our event . Beat our old record again by a lot . Had over 175 guests and 22 Porsche showed up , besides Ford GT-40 , 57 Chevy , 41 Willy's , 2 z-06's , 65 Chevy Truck , '06 Mini / JCW , Z-4 , 350z , etc . The forecast called for rain after 3PM and was very accurate , unfortunately , it made many of our guests decide against braving the elements in their sunny day cars . The collections for donations continue thru May 15th so please feel free to contact us .
