BRAKE BLEED PROBLEM (after p-valve gut)
After gutting the proportioning valve on my 85, I can't get a good pedal.
I went around the car 3-4 times with the pressure bottle (@13 lbs) hooked up to the reservoir. I think the problem is that the valve itself is holding a trapped air bubble. Does that sound right? Anyone know of someone making a replacement hard line with 2 female fittings to fill in for the valve casing? thanks for your input Bill K |
Bleed it the old fashion way. Have someone pump the pedal 10 times hold it down then bleed three or four times on each wheel. Start at the r/r then l/r then r/f then l/f.

is the master cyl. went dry in the process I would bench bleed it.

I had a board on the pedal so the only fluid I lost was from the valve itself.
Had not though about the old fashion two man method. I'll give it a try next time my son visits. I did a gravity bleed at the back and it got a little better. Thanks |
