Might help if you had a bigger clearer picture of the wires and also the year of your car.

All i can see is a CIS car (1983?) with what looks like a brown ground wire that may or may not be part of that black loop of cable insulation.

Harness for deck lid light? It uses a gray and brown wire.

1981 SC targa, probably the deck lid light since the clips that attach to the hinge are there, will try to take a better pic.
