Oil leak in 1970 2.2. liter engine.

I have a new oil leak. I found oil on the bottom of the fan housing which I thought was possibly being thrown up from the seal behind the pulley and sucked into the fan. I cleaned it up and it is clear that this is not the source, but I found a small leak in one of the oil lines going to the chain tensioners - fixed that.

While I had assumed originally that the oil was being sucked in by the fan it now looks to me like it might be coming from inside the fan housing against the air flow toward the outside.

Fortunately it is not a significant amount of oil but it makes the bottom of the fan housing black which is annoying.

Do you have A/C? Sometimes the compressor springs a leak leaving something like what you are describing.

Otherwise I'd still be looking at tensioner feed lines really closely.

Cheers
