Pulse Generator for 915 Mech Trans
Ive heard and seen post about doing this before. I cant seem to find a lead now that I am searching for it. Has anyone taken a VDO pulse generator and put it on a early mech speedo trans to work with a late electric speedo with success? Thanks.
Would look like this ... ![]() ![]() Here is the site for the VDO parts .... http://www.vdo-instruments.com/sensors/speed-rpm-and-rotational-sensors.html Last edited by tocobill; 03-20-2013 at 05:54 PM.. |

If these work on 4 pulse vs the 8 pulse the OEM Porsche speedo uses can you tweak the speedo to register correct?

get a measurement of the over all length of the generator and the connector: you may not have enough room between the nose cone and the chassis

Thanks Dave. Ill look into the size. Do you know anything about the changing the pulse reference. Cant use it if I cant get the 4 pulses to work ... or I can just find a 200mph plus speedo and actually use all of it, lol.
