wheel question

I looked about 300 back posts about wheels and I know it is there but need a quick answer and my eyes hurt. Will wheels off a 72 911 fit an 85 cab. 7&8X16 don't have any offset info.

Well it is an interesting question in that those wheels never came stock on a '72 911. '72 911's had 15 inch wheels. Generally speaking, assuming they are Fuchs, and were on that '72, they will fit on your '85. The turbo look Carrera's had 7&8 x 16 wheels, but they will fit under a standard Carrera.

Thanks Kurt. I was sure they didn't come stock but the seller had them on a 72 so that is where the question came from. Thanks for the reply I feel a bit better now.

I'd be interested to know how he got them under a stock '72? Did he add flares?
