speed bleeder valves
In my last pelican order, I threw in a set of speed bleeder valves for my brake calipers. These sound like a good idea for quicker brake bleeds.
Is anyone using these? If so, do they work as well as a brake bleed using a power bleeder? or are these in the cool collar catagory? Thanks,

They work quite well for bleeding brakes, so the answer is yes, they are in the cool collar category of inexpensive things that work...

Thanks Wayne. Can't wait to try them out.
One more question if you read this. I tried to find seat attach bolts on the site with no luck. Do you guys have the allen head, seat attach bolts? I need the short ones for power seats.

I use the Speed Bleeders on my 78 and love them. I can completely bleed the entire system in about 5 min. I use the power bleeder on the wifes car and find it more difficult to use. the only advantage i can think of with the power bleeder is you don't have to keep an eye on the MC resevoir and keep adding fluid.

Get a Motive Pressure Bleeder instead. You don't need to keep topping off the fluid, no extra wear on the MC and is a one person job.
Once my car is on jack stands it only takes about 10 minutes to flush the entire car. I've every method available to help with flushing brake fluid since I do it at least 2-3 times a year (Lots of track time) and the Motive is by far the bast product I've used. And it's only $45. Noel |

ditto on the Motive Pressure bleeder. it makes bleeding a breeze. also, if possible, use AT blue once, then standard color fluid so you know when you're getting to clean fluid.
the speed bleeders are cool, too. they let you pump the brakes to build up pressure, then loosen them and bleed 1 brake at a time. they are great in a pinch if you don't have the pressure bleeder and don't have an assistant. |

Are these the valves in question?

Thanks for all the input. I do have the motive power bleeder. The speed bleeder valves just looked like a nice option instead of hooking up the power bleeder.
