Not that it will help with the purchase decision anymore but...getting it inspected when you get back home is still a reasonable thing to do. Finding a great independent shop and establishing a solid relationship with them may go a fair way toward making your purchase rewarding.

ok so i'm home, and it ran like a champ pulls strong, no strange noises except for a major oil leak that seems to be coming from return tube or reservoir. the idle is a little rough but not too bad. hand over intake and slight change and oil cap off idle drops but not too much

Am just a little concerned about the surging idle and the oil leak of course which probably it looks like it's coming off of the return tube that leads to the reservoir

Hey guys if you think this is a good one you should read my post about what happened to me a few years back when mechanic drop the bolt into my engine and put it back together and started it and then tried to say that I did it it's a really good read my insurance company ended up paying for him and suing him for damages
I'm going to change my username to Capt. Chaos

That is one happy Florida car now. Perfect time of year for the Targa.

Yeah the surging idle seem to disappear I think it was just overfilled with oil and I did spray a lot of carb cleaner around and cleaned up the area and it does seem to only be leaking from the return too so it's an easy fix otherwise it's pretty great running car got a lot of torque and looking forward to many years of good running with it
