If the spring plates without any spring tension are at the same angle as before you took them off, you should be good to go.

As long as the spring plate is disconnect from the rear shock you are following the proper procedure.
Just be sure to have the height adjusting screw in the middle position so you can go up or down a little without re-indexing the T-bar.
What weight did you use for your calculation?

I just finished this same project and I ran into a few issues you can avoid. Make 100% sure that the inside surface of the torsion tube where the inner rubber bushing goes is smooth and corrosion free. If it's not the bushing will hang and likely separate from the glue bond the spring plate.

Next, the spring plate calculator is good, but for me both sides required different angles to get the same ride height side to side. This was just plain trial and error; set the plates drop the car and measure.

Next for the actual ride height you will need to drive it. I went from 25.5" to 24.75" after driving around my neighborhood. Thankfully that was in the range I was shooting for, otherwise I would have pulled it apart again.

My final angle on my heavy SC was about 32 deg.
