H4 adding relay...where/how?

My mechanic is stuck on where & how the single relay should be installed to protect high beam swicth from overloaded by 55/100W H4s. This relay is recomended by several sources and a number of threads, but I cannot locate any instructions on how to wire it up or where it should be installed. Link to tech article or basic tip very much appreciated. Car in the shop as I write this.

Thanks for the link Kurt,
The most detailed post, however talks about a '72. The pelican part description calls the relay "upgraded" which implies a straight repalcement. The Pelican tech artical on Headlight upgrade is temp missing. The H4s have been in for awhile but I'm leary of leaving the 100W hi beams on for very long.

Ted,

There needs to be two relays and new fuses or circuit breakers, at the minimum!

The convenient place to pick up the signal to operate the relays is the fuse block, one of which is provided for each filament in the headlamps. If he wires a relay coil to one high beam fuse and one coil relay to one low beam fuse ... your control stalk will be protected from overload!

Ted,
This link shows the location and some details of the install.

Note that he also sells a pre-wired relay kit for this mod, which is very handy. As others have said, its important to control both high and low beams via the relay. You want nothing more than switching current running through the stalk switch [weld a couple and you be be a believer!]. It also a good idea to upgrade the wire gauge from the fuse block to the headlight connector - those 100W flamethrowers pull a LOT more amps than the stock wiring was designed to carry.

Many thanks to everyone who responded...this board is incredible! Tony K, that looks like the answer.

Headlight Relays

Ditto to TonyK..........I purchased the assembly from Marcus Sutro and the installation took all of one hour. Very handy to have the relays and wires preassembled. Came with clear instructions also.
